  | | | Why are Pool Express prices so low ? Is there a catch ? | |
| | | | Price - There is no catch - quite simply, its a matter of quantity. Whereas your local pool shop (and other online retailers) may sell 20, 50 or even 100 covers/rollers - Pool Express sells thousands of these items. | | | | | | Speed - Our size and integration with the Daisy's national production process means your order is processed fast - Your items are typically prepared and dispatched faster than if you had ordered through your local pool shop. | | | | Warranties are honoured promptly and directly by Daisy's dedicated team (no matter where in Australia you live). If you ever need warranty support, you can contact either Pool Express or Daisy on our respective national toll free numbers. |

 | | | 300, 400 & 500 micron - What's the difference ? | |
| | | | The "micron weight" refers to the thickness of the backing material (rather than the "bubble" itself). This is the part of the cover that takes the full force of the sun's UV light. | | | | | | In terms of performance (prevention of evaporation, heating and reduction of maintenance), 300, 400 and 500 micron are virtually the same. | | | | Basically, it simply comes down to longevity. Covers with a greater micron weight can withstand more years of exposure to sunlight (before the cover eventually has to be replaced). This is reflected by the varying manufacturer warranty periods. |

| | | | Absolutely - All transactions are conducted using the secure technology of Verisign Australia. You receive by email, instant order confirmation and transaction receipts (within only 30 seconds). In fact, we believe purchasing online through Pool Express is more secure than handing your credit card to a shop assistant. |
 | | | How should I measure my pool ? | |
| | | | Its simply a matter of measuring the longest and widest points - Another way to imagine this - "What size box would enclose the whole water area". You only need to choose the your water dimensions (or the next size up) form our selection menus. | | | | | |
 | | | Why trim the cover 75mm outside the waterline ? | |
| | | | Trimming the cover 75mm outside the waterline means that the cover will curl-up slightly at the pool wall (but not extend above the coping). | | | | | | This over-sizing and the resulting up-curl helps prevent the wind catching exposed edges. Actually, installed this way, the effect of wind rushing across the pool is to create a downward pressure which pushes the cover onto the water. |
 | | Given its recommended I trim the cover so it ends up slightly oversized, do I need to allow for this when selecting sizes ? | |
| | | | No - Simply select dimensions that match you pool's maximum length and width (or the next size up from our list of standard sizes). | | | | | | We will deliver a larger cover that allows for this "over-sizing". | | | | Specifically, we deliver a cover 300mm longer and 150mm wider than the sizes you select. |
 | | | Do I choose a heating or non heating cover ? | |
| | | | It comes down to personal preference - Basically, "are there times of the year you would like a warmer pool ?". Remember, if the water gets too warm using a heating cover, you can always remove the cover for a few hours. | |
 | | | | As an indication, 80-90% of our Brisbane clients prefer the heating cover. Its not until you get to places like Mackay, Darwin and Port Headland that a non-heating cover is the obvious choice. |
 | | | How much warmer can my pool be ? | |
| | | | In an open pool exposed to sunshine, the water temperature is normally close to the mean air temperature. Research commissioned by Daisy's consultants predicts impressive temperature rises - Shown in the table below. In practice, we belive this translates to double the swimming season for most Australia pools. | |

 | | | How do I get the dirt off the cover ? | |
| | | | There will not be as much dirt on the cover as there would have been in the pool without it. Dirt will land on the cover and then blow off with the next puff of wind. Dirt will also tend to end up in one spot, depending on the prevailing wind. | | | | You can scoop it off with your hands, or use a broom and dustpan to remove it. You can also turn on your pump, and hose the dirt towards your skimmer box. |
 | | | Do I absolutely need a Roller ? | |
| | | | No - You can use a Daisy cover without a roller - Folding the cover and storing it out of the sun. A roller will however make taking the cover off the pool and then replacing it "child's play". You can of course see how you go without a roller, and order a roller latter. |
 | | | What is the difference between the Standard and 5-Star Roller ? | |
| | | | The standard roller is a perfectly suitable roller for most situations - Available with main tube diameters of 75mm (for pools up to 4.5m wide) and 100mm (for pool widths up to 6.1m). You don't need to select a pool width because the main tube is "telescopic", i.e. you adjust it to suit you pool's width. | | | | We suggest you choose the 5 Star roller if : | | | | | | You prefer the "heavier engineered appearance", | | | | You plan to shift the roller often, | | | | You would like to have the option of wheels for easy movement, or | | | | You like the idea of a 10 rather than 5 year pro rata warranty. |
| | | | |
 | | | Does the roller need to be as wide as the pool ? | |
| | | | While most rollers match the pool cover width, there are situations where clients prefer to have a roller narrower than the pool. | | | | | | | The most common situation is where a pool has one area that extends from the side of the pool (e.g. steps or a swim-out). |
 | | | Do I have to be home when by pool cover or roller arrives ? | |
| | | | No - In the case of our covers and rollers, our carriers are instructed to leave your order in a sensible place if you're not home (e.g. down your driveway or similar). |
 | | | What happens when I place an order ? How soon will my goods arrive ? | |
| | | | |
 | | | Can I really install a cover and roller myself ? | |
| | | | Absolutely – Our clients have installed many thousands of these DIY items. Have a look at the following videos to get a better idea of what is involved. | | | | | |
 | | | | | | No Problem - If you have any queries during installation, you can call Daisy’s National Customer Care Line, on 1300 55 18 11 - An expert there should be able to advise. |

 | | | What does the pool cover look like up close ? | |
